  1. I”m so sorry I missed this last week. What a fun post! Since my brain is fried from editing, I’m going to demure answering the questions now and I think I’ll do a post on this because I think it’s so brilliant! You know, I will admit that I used to think I’d travel back to Elizabethan England, but I loved your answer so much that I would do that as well. Go forward and make sure everyone was well.

    Totally love this.

    • No worries, Tameri. Glad you enjoyed it! I’d be afraid of getting in trouble and suffering the horrible kinds of torture they inflicted on people back then. Don’t know why that was the first thought that came to mind about that era….weird.
Looking forward to your post of questions!

  3. This is fun, rather than answer here though I’m going to post it on my blog too (tomorrow) and see what my followers come up with as well! 😀

  4. FUN Marcia – love getting to know you better and fantastic links! I can’t wait to visit them all.
What’s your quirkiest trait? For such a bad-ass growing up, I sure do like to follow the rules now.
What’s your best feature? I’d like to think my hair. It hasn’t always been but is now.
If someone wrote a book about you, what would the title be? You mean she didn’t end up in jail?
If a movie was being made of your life, who would play you? Jennifer Lopez

  5. Fun!
    1. What’s your quirkiest trait? Like you, I compulsively tell loved ones to be safe for fear that nothing short of a zombie apocalypse will transpire, all because I neglected to say so. I also have to script every phone call I make or else I’ll be stuttering, stammering mess.

    2. What are your 3 favorite scents? Rain, baked goods-and yes, gasoline.

    3. What is the best thing you ever wrote? What ever I’m in the middle of writing.

    4. What is your favorite line in a book or movie? Way, way, waaaaaaaaay too many to just pick one.

    5. What theme song fits your life right now? Shake It Out by Florence + The Machine

    6. What’s your best feature? Physical: My green eyes. Personality: Passion.

    8. What superpower would you like to have? Perpetual endurance….or perfect visual memory.

    10. If a movie was being made of your life, who would play you? Emma Stone

    • I love your answers, S.J.! I just can’t relate to liking the smell of gasoline. 🙂
Never heard of Florence and the Machine…heading to you tube to check it out. Thanks coming by!

  6. Marcia – it’s so fun getting to know you better! Thank you so much for the shout out – that was such a pleasant surprise and so sweet! I wish I had time to play along but maybe next time! Such a crazy week! Have a great weekend!

  7. Thanks for ruining my writing session 🙂
I thought I’d just check out a blog or two, as one does… Then I clicked on your link to “Slush Pile Hell”. I read all 14 pages. I had a great time laughing out loud. But it ruined my writing session.
So a plea. Please make future posts dull and boring and don’t include any links except to things like watchpaintdry.com or similar so I can get on with my writing 🙂
    3 Kooky things about me;
    1. I pick worms off paths and put them onto grass because they don’t have eyes (I think) and thet wouldn’t find it without my help.
    2. When I start a Crossword or Sudoku I have to finish it which sometimes means I spend a very long time in that little room everyone has in their house. If I’m in a rush I have to force myself to not pick up a paper when I go to the little room
    3. I love dunking biscuits in my tea and I assess the quality of a biscuit based on how likely it is to break and fall into my cup of tea.

    • Oh, Chris! *wiping the tears of laughter* You’re awesome! So sorry I ruined your writing time…not. Glad you enjoyed a fun respite from writing and that you stopped by here to do that. Good to see you! Now get back to your writing!

  8. Thanks for sharing such fun questions! I have too many quirks to name just one…I would go back in time, but I’m not sure where, because there’s so many interesting times in history I’d like to visit. And I’m definitely checking out the Judy Dunn Link!

  9. Marcia, I notice you didn’t list horse manure as one of your 3 favorite scents. Is it number 4? I actually understand, because the smell of horse manure usually leads to horses and horses are pretty awesome.

    1) My quirkiest trait– I nearly always have a small green parrot hanging on me, (My neighbors think I’m a little strange) but I also talk to the Universe and paint my grout.
    2) My best features– My eyes and my ability to shrug off stupid stuff that doesn’t matter.
    3) My wannabe superpower– The ability to remember everything.
    4) Favorite scents– Coffee, fresh laundry & toast.
    5) Favorite line from a movie– Make my day.
    6) The best thing I ever wrote. It’s a toss up between The Devil’s Own Luck & The Tattooed Angel. The Devil’s Own Luck should be out on Amazon soon. The Tattooed Angel will be out in about 6 months. My best blog is probably my last one– Pennies from Heaven
I couldn’t pass up this golden opportunity to pimp my stuff!

Thanks for such a fun post!

    • I’m happy you pimped your writing! Yay!
We’re destined to be friends…you understand my love of the smell of horse manure. It smells like fresh cut hay to me and not as odorific as cow manure. It’s a fresh country smell. And I love horses. Came close to buying one several years ago. Yes, it is #4.
Are you planning blog tours for your books? I’d be happy to be a tour stop, if you do.
      Thanks for participating!

  10. Aww, fun to learn more about you, Marcia. I’m betting that some of those links you shared are from pinterest aren’t they? LOL

What’s my quirkiest trait? I quote movie lines…a lot. If I could time travel, I’d go back to the 20’s and hang out with F. Scott Fitzgerald and beg him for a role in the The Great Gasby. If someone made a movie about me, I’d hope Julia Roberts played me cause we share red hair and big teeth. 😀

    • Yes, the Fun Stuff is from Pinterest. Might as well give credit to them instead of just lurking at their sites, 🙂
I love that you quote movie lines. I would, too, if I had a decent memory for trivia.
Fitzgerald was an odd duck if I remember my research correctly. You’d have a ball goofing on him. Thanks, Jess!

  11. Fun questions and answers, Marcia. I would love to play but I’m typing this on my iPhone and that’s not an easy task 🙂 But I’m going to check out the links, especially DIY Tutorials and Slush Pile Hell!

  12. I always love your links, Marcia! I’ve already clicked through on two.

    Neat game. I’ll play:
What is the best think you ever wrote? Whatever I just submitted. Honestly, when I get a rejection I always wonder – what? what? and then it quickly becomes the WORST thing I’ve ever written. lol.

What superpower would I like to have? I’d like to have the ability to take what I’m thinking in my head and poof! it be done. I think the dishes need to be put away. Poof! Done. I watched a lot of Bewitched as a kid. I think I’d done well with a twitchy nose.

What is quirky trait? Like you, I tell everyone to be careful. I’ll call them or yell out the door in order to “seal” them with it. My younger daughter – not yet a driver – asked me once, “Do you think they walk out determined not to careful?” lol! I really do think though that it plants the idea of being careful in their minds. ha!

    • Love your daughter’s question! Yes, it protects them in some way.
Oooh, yeah, I’d love that superpower! We could write books sooo fast! thanks, Bridgette!

  13. Love the game, Marcia.
What superpower would you like to have? I want mine to be like Legolas, a subtle knowledge about unseen things, perfect shot with my bow and agility.

If someone wrote a book about you, what would the title be? The Woman Who Overcame

  14. Oooo! I love list games. I’ll play. 🙂 Great mashup as well, Marcia!

What are your 3 favorite scents? – Coffee, gasoline and also baked brownies.

What’s your best feature? – Physical, I’d say my eyes and lips. The other would be my sense of humor. Makes life way fun.

What is the best thing you ever wrote? – Back when I wrote proposals for accounting firms, I wrote a reproposal for current work paired with request for new work that was masterful. It won $900,000/year ongoing. For my writing, there are several I’m proud of. Most recent would be a short story I finished that shows my growth as a writer. It is amped up with a strong plot, disturbing tension and a well-rounded villain.

    • Gasoline, Barbara? Really? I guess that’s no worse than me loving the smell of horse manure. 😀 I agree on your best features and *high five* on the writing!
